[edit] What are the Colville Youth Awards?
The Colville Youth Awards have been given for 2007. Keep your eyes open in the fall for nomination forms for 2008.
The Colville Youth Awards honor our community's outstanding youth. These awards recognize the achievement of caring, talented young people in Colville.
The Colville Youth Awards are sponsored by the Colville Youth Commission.
[edit] How do I nominate someone?
Both adults and teens can nominate someone for the Colville Youth awards. You may not nominate yourself.
Nominations were made in the following areas:
- Citizenship: Advocating community action or demonstrating civic responsibility
- Leadership: Demonstrating the ability to lead others towards a positive goal
- Diversity: Valuing cultural and/or social diversity through action, lifestyle awareness or education
- Creativity: Enriching others through imaginative skills and originality in such activities as writing, dance, music, acting, or visual arts
[edit] What does it mean if I'm nominated?
It means that people in this community recognize you as a person who makes a difference! Simply being nominated is an honor, and nominees are invited to the Colville Youth Awards Ceremony. Winners in each category will be announced at the ceremony.
