The Friends of the Chewelah Public Library in action
The Friends of the Chewelah Public Library raise funds to improve the Chewelah Public Library.
[edit] What We Do
The Friends raise funds with book sales to improve the Chewelah Public Library, with recent efforts resulting in:
- Two new public access computers
- Furniture
- A variety of clocks
- Children's area rugs and stuffed animals
The Friends also support the library staff by volunteering to shelve books, "read" shelves, and check in/out books and other material. Training is provided Thursday mornings from 10 a.m. to Noon.

The Friends meet the second Tuesday of the month between 10 and Noon at the Chewelah Public Library.
