- Getting Started
If you're representing a local organization, you can add a page for your organization on the wiki. Please familiarize yourself with our Guidelines for Contributing to the Wiki. We do have a Local Organizations list that lists many local organizations. Check to see if you are on that list. If you are not, you can make a new page.
Go to the upper-right hand corner and log in to the wiki. You will need to be logged in to make any changes. If you do not yet have a log-in, you may need to make one. See the help menu for more information about logging in and making a log-in. Please note that no personal information is needed to log in.
- Making a new page.
Put in your organization's name in the search bar to the right. (Be sure you're spelling it correctly!) If that page does not already exist, the wiki will ask you if you would like to make a new page. Say yes! You may now write a new page for your organization.
- What do I write for my organization?
Simple is best; short is sweet. Let folks know what you do, but keep to the point. We have provided a template if you need ideas. You may "borrow" the template: see how to do that in the instructions below.
Use the Local Organizations Template to help you make your page. Click on the above link. Go into the "edit" tab and copy all the text there. Go to your new page and go to the "edit" tab. Paste the template in. Now you can edit to your heart's content.
- A Note about Contact Information
If you want give out some contact information, that is wonderful. Please note that this information is posted to the internet. You may wish to leave off your last name or leave a business phone number. To avoid being added to email spam lists, we recommend that you do not post your email address to the wiki. Absolutely no contact information should be given for minors.
