Colville Flats

I love to take my yellow lab for walks, but not on a leash. The best places I've found for letting her run are the beach at Colville Flats on Highway 25 south of Kettle Falls (turn south at the Yellow Pines Chevron on the east end of Kettle) or the mile-long trail between the Kettle Falls Marina and the day use area. The large grassy area and beach south of the day use area is also good for dog walking. Of course, I have to deal with wet sand and wet dog smell in my car after these romps, because my dog can't resist forays into Lake Roosevelt, but she's so happy to be free and havin' fun that it's worth the mess I have to vacuum up.
